Since 2018, I’ve been creating fun and educational children’s books with Author and Pro Fisherman Bob Allen.
The fish speak directly to the young readers, challenging kids to try and find them, while giving all sorts of “inside tips” on how to catch them. This is a theme of all 4 books, which offer plenty of info on the different species’ favorite foods, habits and hideouts.

"Walter the Wily Walleye," 2018.
Walter the Wily Walleye was our first collaboration. The book has continued to outsell the others, receiving multiple awards and requiring multiple printings!
"Walter: Under the Ice," 2020.
“Walter: Under the Ice,” is a second book with Walter the Walleye. I learned a lot about the crazy world of ice fishing. So much of the gear and the techniques were new to me, having always fished in more human-friendly weather!
"Battle of the Bass," 2022.
“Battle of the Bass,” is the third Allen & Alberts effort. We continue to raise the bar on the amount of crazy detail in the illustrations.
"Panfish Party," 2024.
“The Panfish Party” is our latest. Like Bob’s previous books about walleye and bass, the playful (and for me much easier to catch) bluegill, perch and crappie invite us to come and play.
